Q: How long have you been breeding?

A: I have been breeding dachshunds for 9 years.

Q: What made you decide to breed Dachshunds?

A: I bought a puppy from a breeder and 2 weeks after we got him he started dragging his back legs and yelping. We took him to the vet to find out he had a genetic disorder in his neck. We called the breeder about the situation to either get a refund or a different puppy. She asked for the vet records, then refused to help claiming we dropped the puppy. He had never been dropped and our vet confirmed it was nothing we did and there was nothing we could do, not even surgery would help him. We put him to sleep shortly there after, we couldn't see him suffer. The worst part is when we picked him up from the breeder she had a dog with heartworms no more than 15 feet away from the puppies putting their little lives in danger. From that day and with everything that had happened I decided I was going to start breeding and make sure that never happened to one of my puppies or customers. I wanted people to get healthy puppies that are well cared for. I still see people buying puppies from that breeder and shake my head but never say anything.
